About Our Training Programmes

 

All our programmes offer you:

A high percentage of time spent in schools with staff experienced in training teachers

A high quality professional studies programme

Personal tutor support and a bespoke training plan

Gradual increase in the number of lessons taught

Training delivered by experienced experts including practising teachers and Education Consultants

An excellent understanding of, and preparation for, the teaching profession

Excellent employment rates in Essex schools

Trainees will achieve QTS and may be enrolled on a Masters Programme for PGCE

 

The School Direct Training Programme

A one year, full-time, school based route

Trainees will achieve QTS and may be enrolled on a Masters Programme with the University of Derby for the award of PGCE  (You undertake all your studies locally - no need to travel!)

Training is, in the majority, school-based with some centre-based training

In school you will work closely with a subject / phase specific mentor and the ITT coordinator.

You will also have an external tutor who works for the Essex Schools ITT Partnership

Tuition Fees are currently set at £8900.

Tax free teacher training bursaries also available if you meet the requirements set by the NCTL.

 

The School Direct Salaried Training Programme

A one year, full-time, school based route.

Trainees will achieve QTS and have the option to buy-into a Masters Programme with the University of Derby for the award of PGCE

Training is, in the majority, school-based with some centre-based training.
